At the international conference in January, the four Confraternities of Catholic Clergy agreed to a corporate response to the Holy Father’s request for prayers for the upcoming synod. Consequently, the UK Confraternity has prepared a prayer card to be used in the lead up to October.
As well as a particular prayer to be prayed, the card states:
On every first Friday to commit as a day of fasting, penance and prayer (e.g. Rosary, Stations of the Cross, Eucharistic Adoration and 40 hours in October) for the intentions of the Universal Church and the Holy Father Pope Francis.
These cards, with a beautiful picture of the Holy Family of Nazareth on the front, are available for wide distribution amongst your people. Let us make this a priority work of ours. Each priest is also asked to offer Mass on the First Fridays for the intentions of the family, the Synod and the Pope.
The cards are available at 10 cents each, postage and handling free.
